Jesus Creed: Loving God and Loving Others

I just ordered this book from this guy and it should come in next week. I don't know if the book will be as fruitful as the title has been for me (just meditating on it), but I am mildly hopeful. I've been reading several of Scot's posts and have really appreciated his manner even more than the content of his thoughts. He seems like the kind of guy who I used to assume filled seminary faculties. I'm glad he exists and is helping people think about God and reality in largely better ways.

T, you have to go over to his blog and read his post as of late. He is doing lists of best titles to read for spiritual formation, mission and jesus studies. Uh...I am so grateful.

Our savings isnt.

I'm always grateful when quality people who are well-read (or in this case, very well-read) give top-ten lists. I'm going to exercise some self control, make note of his lists, and hit them over time. My life-stage makes a big stack of books a temptation for me, not a well of living water. Yours, however . . .

Check out the kid who also put 1 Peter down as his book. See what God is doing.
